E3 2008: Summary


Time for a recap of E3 this year.

Microsoft
*
Final Fantasy XIII announced for the X360.
* New trailers for Gears of War 2, Prince of Persia, Resident Evil 5, Guitar Hero World tour (multi), Wolfenstein , Red Alert 3 (multi) , Star Ocean 4 , Mirror's Edge
* Capcom announces Lost Planet: The Movie.
* MS announces Portal: Still Alive (XBLA)
* MS announces video streaming service with Netflix in the fall update, Avatars (like Miis for the Wii).



Nintendo
*
New trailers for WiiMusic, Animal Crossing (Wii), WiiSport Resort
* Wii Motion Plus unveiled. An attachment to the WiiMote that is promised to ensure 1:1 response time.
* Capcom announces Dead Rising for the Wii.
* Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars for the DS
announced.
* Castlevania: Judgement (Wii) to support online.

Sony
*
Presents a (rather amusing) video presentation using LittleBigPlanet.
* New God of War 3, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Resistance: Retribution (PSP) trailers
* Patapon 2 and Loco Roco 2 officially announced (this was revealed in a Famitsu issue just days ago).
* Super Stardust Portable announced for the PSP (was available on the PS3), as well as Fat Princess for the PSN.
* Home delayed inevitably. LittleBigPlanet delayed to October 2008.
* Sony announces Greatest Hits releases of PS3 titles, priced at $29.99.
* MAG (Massive Action Game), a 256-player squad-based shooting game announced.
* Valkyria Chronicles mistaken for a PSP title. There is no announced Valkyria nor Valkyrie project for the PSP.
